SHG was founded in 1977 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by Lane Sarver, and has developed over 3,500 units of affordable housing for people with special needs. SHG’s experience and expertise in architecture, urban planning, historic preservation, real estate, and landscape architecture enable us to provide a comprehensive approach to all phases of development.

Lane serves on the North Carolina Interagency Council for Coordinating Homeless Programs.

Jon serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Coalition to End Homelessness.

Juliellen is the President of the Greater Fulton Hill Civic Association and serves on the Housing and Urban Farming Committees of the 7th District Team in Richmond, Virginia
